1. Who we are
This website, lockhold.com, is run by Lockhold Consulting LLC, a Nevada limited liability company based in Henderson, Nevada (“Lockhold,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are an operations consulting firm. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this site.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@lockhold.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us, plus limited technical data that any website needs to work.
Information you give us
- Project form. On our project form we ask what needs to get done, when it needs to start (now, in the next one to three months, or planning ahead), and your name and email address. The form also records the page or link that brought you to it, which can include the referring website address and any tracking tags in the link, such as a campaign name.
- Email signups. If you ask for one of our free templates (the SOP template, the KPI dashboard template, the weekly meeting kit or the 13-week cash flow template) or sign up for our monthly operator note, we collect your email address. Our email platform also records which form you used, when you signed up, and how you interact with our emails, such as opens, clicks and unsubscribes. Asking for any of them also signs you up for the operator note.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate visit statistics, such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, country, browser and device type, and page load speed. It does not use cookies or similar storage on your device and is not used to build a profile of you.
- Technical data. Like any web host, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not ask for, and ask that you not send us, sensitive information such as financial account numbers, government ID numbers or health information through the site.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- read and reply to your project form or email, and discuss a possible engagement with you;
- send the SOP template, the KPI dashboard template, the weekly meeting kit, the 13-week cash flow template and the monthly operator note you signed up for;
- send a one-time confirmation that your project form arrived;
- understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it;
- keep the site and our forms secure and filter out spam; and
- comply with the law and protect our rights.
We do not use what you send through the project form for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you sign up for one yourself.
4. Why we use it (legal bases)
We use your information only when we have a reason to:
- Your request. When you send the project form or email us, we use your information to respond and to take the steps you ask for before any engagement.
- Your consent. When you sign up for an email, we send it because you asked for it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Legitimate interests. We use limited technical and aggregate analytics data to run, secure and improve the site, in ways you would reasonably expect.
- Legal obligations. We may keep or disclose information where the law requires it.
5. Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to run this site and our email. They handle personal information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell personal information, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
After the project form goes through, our email platform sends you a one-time confirmation that it arrived. To send it, only your email address and first name go to that platform. Sending the project form does not add you to the operator note or any marketing email.
| Provider | What it does for us | Information it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Web3Forms | Delivers project form submissions to our inbox by email. | Everything you enter on the project form, plus the source-page field. |
| Microsoft (Outlook) | Hosts our business email, where project form submissions and emails you send us are kept so we can reply. | Project form submissions and any email you send us. |
| Sequenzy | Email platform. It stores our email list and sends the SOP template, the KPI dashboard template, the weekly meeting kit, the 13-week cash flow template and the monthly operator note, and sends the one-time confirmation after you submit the project form. | For signups: your email address, which form you used and which download you asked for first, when you signed up, and how you interact with our emails (such as opens, clicks and unsubscribes). For the project form confirmation: only your email address and first name. |
| Cloudflare | Hosts and secures this website, and provides our cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics. | Technical request data such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, used to deliver and protect the site and to produce aggregate visit statistics. |
Each provider handles information under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.
6. Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking. Our analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless: it does not place cookies or use local storage on your device.
When you sign up for our free library, we save a small note in your browser so you don’t have to enter your email again on this device. It only records that you’ve signed up for the library. It doesn’t contain your email or anything else about you, and it isn’t used for analytics or advertising. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Our free tools (the calculators and checklist under /tools) save what you type in your browser, on your device, so you can pick up where you left off. That information stays on your device: it is not sent to us, we cannot see it, and it is not used for analytics or advertising. Clearing your browser data removes it. Some tools can also download your entries as a file that you save yourself.
Our fonts and the book cover images on our books guide are hosted on our own site, so viewing them does not send requests to outside image or font services.
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie in limited cases, for example if it needs to confirm that a visitor is not an automated bot. That cookie is used only for security, not for analytics or advertising.
7. Email communications and unsubscribing
We send email newsletters and resources only to people who sign up for them. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops them. The one-time project form confirmation is a transactional message and does not sign you up for anything. If you contact us about a project, we will reply by email about that project. You can also ask us to stop emailing you at any time by writing to hello@lockhold.com.
8. Data retention
- Inquiries. We keep project form submissions and related emails only as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage a potential engagement. We delete them when you ask us to, unless we must keep them to meet a legal obligation.
- Email list. We keep your signup details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Analytics. Analytics data is aggregate and is kept by Cloudflare under its own retention practices.
- If you become a client, information about the engagement is handled under our agreement with you.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we use established providers for hosting, forms and email.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you think something has gone wrong, please tell us right away.
10. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information; and
- opt out of our emails at any time.
To make a request, email hello@lockhold.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. We will respond within a reasonable time and within any period the law requires. If we can’t fully meet a request, we will explain why, and you can ask us to reconsider.
US state privacy rights. Some US states give their residents specific privacy rights, such as rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising. Whether or not a particular state law applies to us, we will honor the requests described above from any visitor. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Nevada residents. Nevada law lets consumers ask a business not to sell their covered personal information. We do not sell personal information. If you would still like to submit a request, email hello@lockhold.com.
11. Children's privacy
This site is meant for business owners and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email hello@lockhold.com and we will delete it.
12. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and the information you send us is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the site or contacting us, you understand that your information will be handled in the United States.
13. Third-party links
This site links to outside websites, such as our social media profiles and, where offered, a Google Docs copy of our SOP template. Those sites are run by others, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site or practices change. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on this page. Please check back from time to time.
15. Contact us
If you have a question or a request about your personal information, email us at hello@lockhold.com.
